Daniel Schulter, Ed.D.- Principal
About Me: I was born in Chicago, Illinois and came to Tucson when I was seven years old. I went to elementary school at Bonillas and then Dietz, to junior high school at Fickett, and to high school at Palo Verde High School, all in TUSD. I attended the University of Arizona, and received my Bachelor’s degree in business. My family and I started an air conditioning business, and I worked there for 14 years. During this time, I decided that I wanted to be a teacher and I continued with my education, going to school part-time on weekends and in the evenings. I received my Masters in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University. I left the family business, and started teaching math, at Palo Verde High School and then Sabino High School. I was still going to school, and later received my Doctor of Educational Leadership from the University of Arizona in December, 2006. I worked as an Instructional Coach at Gridley for a year. I was the Assistant Principal at Sabino High School for three years, and am now the Principal here at Dodge. I have been married for twenty-seven years to Michelle, and we have two children, Joshua and Carolyn. Josh graduated from the University of Arizona in 2012 and is now attending Ohio State University. Carolyn is currently attending the University of Arizona studying Elementary Education. I sing in our church choir, like to bake, and work on ceramics, stained glass, and crochet. I like to challenge myself with Sudoku puzzles on a regular basis.

About Me: I am a Tucson native and attended Miles, Booth-Fickett, and Tucson High. I received my degrees from the U of A and NAU. This is my 13th year in education; ten of those years were spent teaching Language Arts, English, and AVID at both the middle and high school levels. I have also held non-teaching positions involving curriculum, assessment, teacher mentorship, and student advocacy. I am married and have two amazing children named Alana and Aaron. I serve on the Site Council for Dodge, participate in the School Community Partnership Council, and am also a member of the PTO at my daughter's elementary school. In my free time I like to read, go on bike rides with my family, practice photography, visit the beach, and run.
